✈️ Get 25% Off Economy & Business Class Flights to Europe with KLM Flying Blue

You know the drill: Air France KLM Flying Blue’s monthly Promo Rewards are out for this month, and this time they’re giving some love to three Canadian cities: Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.

Book by November 30, 2025, for travel through April 30, 2026, and you’ll get 25% off economy and business class reward flights to Europe, North Africa, or Turkey. This is one of the best deals we’ve seen in recent months, so if you’re planning a trip this winter or spring, jump on it. 🤩

⭐️ Where Can You Fly?

The deals are a bit different for each city, so let’s break it down: 👇

  • Toronto (YYZ): 25% off Air France or KLM Business Class redemptions

  • Ottawa (YOW): 25% off Air France Business Class redemptions

  • Montreal (YUL): 25% off KLM Economy or Business Class redemptions

Mileage amounts will vary depending on the dates and availability, but you should be able to find economy redemptions from 18,750 Miles one-way and business class from 45,000 Miles one-way. See below for how much incredible value you’re getting from these deals.

Here are some examples of where you can fly with the discounted rate:

  • Toronto (YYZ) to Amsterdam (AMS) for 45,000 Miles in KLM Business

  • Ottawa (YOW) to Paris (CGD) for 45,000 Miles in Air France Business

  • Montreal (YUL) to Lisbon (LIS) for 18,750 Miles in Air France Economy

These one-way tickets normally cost around $1,537 CAD for economy or about $7,300 CAD for business class. At the discounted rates of 18,750 miles (economy) and 45,000 miles (business), you’re getting roughly 8.2 cents per mile in economy and an incredible 16.2 cents per mile in business class.

To put that into perspective, most loyalty programs (like Aeroplan) average around 2 cents per mile, so this Flying Blue promo offers up to 8x the typical redemption value, especially if you’re splurging for business class.

💳 How to Get More Miles

If you have no KLM Flying Blue Miles stashed away (or you didn’t jump on the deal from last week), the easiest way to get them is by transferring Amex Membership Rewards points to Flying Blue at a 1:0.75 ratio.

That means:

  • Economy class flight: Transfer 25,000 Amex MR points → 18,750 Flying Blue miles

  • Business class flight: Transfer 60,000 Amex points → 45,000 Flying Blue miles.

Even with the transfer ratio, that’s still an excellent redemption, especially if you’re earning 5x points on groceries and dining out with the Amex Cobalt, or making large purchases that earn 1x points per dollar.

Most Amex cards have huge welcome bonuses (some up to 100,000 points) that you can easily unlock by using Chexy to pay your monthly rent and bills. Within a few months, you can earn enough points to pay for your European vacation. 👏

So, Should You Jump On This Deal?

Yes! If you’re sitting on Amex points and dreaming of a trip to Europe (or even North Africa or Turkey) this winter or spring, this month’s Promo Rewards are worth jumping on.

With the 25% discount and the multiple Canadian departure cities, it’s one of the best Flying Blue promos we’ve seen this year.

Book by November 30, 2025, and thank yourself later. The 25% discount will already be applied; no code needed.

💸 Scotiabank Momentum Visa Cash Back Cards Are Getting a Major Upgrade

After years of asking, Scotiabank finally listened. Starting February 1, 2026, all Scotia Momentum Visa cards are getting anytime cashback redemptions (no more waiting an entire year for your rewards), plus new accelerated earn categories that make everyday spending more rewarding.

Here’s what’s changing and why it matters. 👇

Cash Back Anytime

Previously, Scotia only paid out your cashback once a year (in November), which was a weirdly old-school move in 2025. But now, you can redeem cashback anytime once your balance hits $25

It’s a small update, but getting to use your cashback almost right away feels like a major win. Even $25 off groceries or a night out can go a long way.

New Earn Rates

Each Momentum Visa card is getting new accelerated categories:

  • Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite (our favourite): Now get 2% cash back on food delivery, plus gas, transit, and rideshare. Other categories stay the same: 4% back on groceries and recurring bills, and 1% on everything else.

  • Scotia Momentum Visa: Now get 2% cash back on transit, rideshare, and food delivery, plus gas, grocery, drugstores, recurring bills, and 1% on everything else. However, the annual fee is increasing from $39 → $49.

  • Scotia Momentum No-Fee Visa: Now get 1% back on on transit, rideshare, food delivery, gas, grocery, drugstores, and recurring bills; 0.5% on everything else.

These updates are modernizing the lineup, now rewarding digital-first lifestyles (think Uber Eats and Uber) instead of just gas and groceries.

💰 Why the Momentum Visa Infinite Is the Best Cashback Card for Chexy Users

If you pay rent or bills through Chexy, this is the cashback card to have. Chexy payments are coded as recurring transactions, which means you earn the full 4% cashback on every payment.

Let’s do the math:

  • Say you pay $2,000 in rent per month, or $24,000 per year.

  • At 4%, you’d earn $960 in cashback.

  • Factoring in the small Chexy fee (1.75% or $420), you’ll earn $540 in net cashback.

So even after the fee, you’re still pocketing hundreds every year just for routing rent and bills through your credit card.

Have a different rent amount? Use our rewards calculator to see exactly how much cashback you could earn.

🤔 Are these Cards Worth Getting?

For most people, yes - especially the Visa Infinite version.

Here’s why we think so:

  • It’s one of the few cards in Canada that offers the highest tier of cashback for recurring payments.

  • The new anytime redemptions make getting cashback immediate and flexible.

  • With 4% on groceries and bills, plus 2% on food delivery and transit, you’re covering a huge chunk of typical monthly spending.

If you want a no-fee option, the base Momentum Visa still holds up, but the Infinite easily justifies the $120 annual fee (which is waived in the first year) if you’re putting rent or big bills through it. Add in the current welcome bonus, and you could earn an extra $200 in the first few months.

⭐️ Two New Air Canada Updates You Should Know About

Air Canada’s been busy: one announcement for your points, and one for your pre-flight coffee. Here’s what’s new this week. 👇

💤Aeroplan Points Expiry Paused (Again)

Aeroplan has extended its points expiry pause until November 29, 2026, so your points won’t vanish even if you haven’t earned or redeemed in a while.

If you hold an Aeroplan co-branded credit card (like Amex Aeroplan Reserve or TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite), your points are automatically protected. That’s extra time to redeem, transfer, or top up your balance without stress.

☕ New Air Canada Café Opens in Vancouver

Flying out of YVR? Air Canada just opened its first Western Air Canada Café in the domestic terminal, with grab-and-go snacks, coffee, and even alcoholic drinks. The space seats 52, perfect for a pre-flight pit stop.

Access requires Aeroplan 50K status, Business Class, Star Alliance Gold, or an Aeroplan co-branded card with lounge privileges.

And not related, but if you’ve read this far, keep an eye on your inbox next week - we’re launching something special for Toronto and Montreal residents. 👀 You won’t want to miss it.

Transfer RBC Avion Points to British Airways with a 30% Bonus and Unlock Qatar QSuites

RBC Avion cardholders can now take advantage of a 30% transfer bonus to British Airways Avios, running until December 19, 2025.

That means every 10,000 Avion points becomes 13,000 Avios, a solid boost that opens the door to far more than just short-haul British Airways flights.

One of the best ways to maximize this promotion is by moving those Avios over to Qatar Airways Privilege Club, where you can redeem for one of the world’s most celebrated business-class experiences: Qatar QSuites.

Qatar Airways 777 QSuites business class seat 7F

QSuites are famous for their sliding-door privacy, lie-flat beds, dine-on-demand service, and now Starlink Wi-Fi on select aircraft. It’s often considered a First Class-level product at a business-class price.

Because British Airways Avios and Qatar Avios are fully interchangeable, Canadians can easily earn Avios through RBC Avion credit cards, transfer them with the 30% bonus to British Airways, and then move them instantly to Qatar Airways to book.

For example, a one-way business class ticket from Montreal (YUL) to Doha (DOH) costs 70,000 Avios off-peak (or 94,500 peak) plus taxes and fees — and that’s before applying the 30% bonus.

With this transfer bonus in play, you’d only need about 54,000 Avion points for that same redemption.

Other great uses include Doha to Maldives (43,000 Avios) and Doha to Bangkok (50,000 Avios) in business class, or even Doha to London (64,500 Avios) in First Class, complete with access to the Al Safwa Lounge.

Al Safwa First Class Lounge Doha

With Avios pooling across programs and frequent transfer bonuses like this, it’s easier than ever to turn your RBC Avion points into a world-class experience.
