Aeroplan's Pay With Points Pilot Promotion

If you want to make your everyday purchases more rewarding, Aeroplan's got you covered with its latest game-changing initiative: the Pay With Points Pilot Promotion.

Pay With Points Pilot Promotion

Aeroplan has teamed up with Visa to make spending on everyday purchases even easier and more rewarding. With the Pay With Points Pilot Promotion, TD Aeroplan co-branded credit cardholders can now redeem Aeroplan points for dining, drugstore, grocery, and entertainment purchases… a game changer!

How It Works

This promotion runs until August 15, 2024, giving you more than enough time to explore this new feature hands-on.

  1. Simply register your eligible TD Aeroplan co-branded credit card on the promotion's website.

  2. Select your preferred categories.

  3. You’ll receive a notification when you make a purchase in your preferred categories.

  4. Confirm to redeem your points. You’ll receive a credit on your next credit card statement equal to the cost of the purchase.

And just like that, you’re good to go!

Note: Purchases must be between $25-$250 to qualify.

Is It Worth It?

Now, it's important to note that while this may be a convenient way to redeem your points, Aeroplan points are best spent on travel as they are valued at 2.1 cents per point. However, if you have some extra points lying around and want to make use of this promo, you have until August 15th, 2024.

New BMO Rewards Credit Card Offers: Up to 100,000 Points

BMO has just upped their game with a new offer on one of their top cards: the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard. With the potential to earn up to 100,000 bonus points, you do not want to miss out on this offer.

BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard

With an offer that's 30,000 points more than before, you can earn up to 100,000 points with the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard by following these simple steps:

  1. You’ll get 55,000 points after spending $4,500 in the first 3 months.

  2. You’ll get an additional 3,750 points every month you spend $2,500 in the following 12 months (up to 45,000 points).

That's a total value of $670 when redeemed for travel, which is its best use, with each point worth 0.67 cents.

Earn Rates:

The earn rates on this card are as follows:

  • 5 points per $1 spent on travel.

  • 3 points per $1 spent on dining, entertainment, and recurring bills.

  • 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.

Perks

This card comes with 4 Mastercard Travel lounge access, 14 different insurances, and more. With an annual fee of $150 (currently waived for the first year) and income requirements starting at $80,000 personal or $150,000 household, this card makes a pretty enticing offer especially if you are currently renting.

How to grab the 100,000 points

This card is great for those who are paying rent as it allows you to earn 3X the points for every dollar spent on recurring bills, and with rent being most people's largest monthly expense, you can use this to your advantage.

With an average monthly rent of $2,000, you’ll easily grab the first bonus of 55,000 points in three months. And if you continue throughout the year, you’ll only need to spend $500 in additional purchases every month, easily reaching the 45,000 points with your rent doing most of the heavy work.

How to Sign Up

  1. Sign up or log into your Chexy account.

  2. Choose to pay rent via credit card and activate your account.

  3. Your card will be charged every month and your landlord will send an e-transfer.

You can apply for the card here and get your first month of Chexy fees waived!
