Maximize Your Emirates Skywards Miles: 25% Off Air Canada Flights & More! ✈️

Sunset on a voyage

If you’ve been sitting on a stash of Emirates Skywards miles, waiting for the perfect moment to cash them in—this is it. For a limited time, you can score 25% off when redeeming miles for Air Canada flights, along with other partner airlines.

Why This Deal is a Game Changer

Skywards miles are already one of the most versatile loyalty currencies out there, but this deal takes them to another level. With the discount, flights start at just 6,000 Skywards miles—which is basically a steal for short-haul flights.

  • Got a weekend getaway in mind? This deal makes domestic and transborder flights way more affordable.

  • Always dreamed of flying Business or First Class? With 25% off, upgrading just became a lot more attainable.

Best Ways to Use Your Skywards Miles

Skywards isn’t just about Emirates flights—it’s a gold mine of travel opportunities thanks to its wide range of partner airlines. Here’s where you can unlock serious value:

  • 🛫Air Canada – Perfect for flights within North America or long-haul to Europe & Asia

  • 🇯🇵Japan Airlines – Fly to Tokyo, Osaka, and beyond in style

  • 🇰🇷Korean Air – Explore Seoul or connect to other Asian destinations

  • 🇦🇺Qantas – Planning a trip to Australia or New Zealand? This is your way in

  • 🌍TAP Portugal, United, Bangkok Airways & more – Covering Europe, Africa, and the Americas

For maximum value, we recommend you redeem for long-haul international flights in premium cabins.

When to Use Your Skywards Miles

While it’s tempting to hoard miles for a “someday” trip, loyalty programs can change their redemption rates at any time (and not always in your favor). This deal is a rare chance to lock in incredible value before it disappears.

Final Thoughts: Should You Book Now?

If you’ve got Skywards miles sitting in your account, this is your sign to use them. Whether you’re looking to book a quick getaway, an international adventure, or a luxury upgrade, this 25% discount makes it easier than ever to stretch your points.

 More flights for fewer miles

Chance to book Business or First Class at a discount

This kind of value-packed deal doesn’t come around often, so if you’ve been thinking about your next trip, now’s the time to lock it in and make your Skywards miles work harder for you.

One popular feature available on many airline co-branded credit cards these days is having your spending count towards earning elite status.

This can help frequent flyers more easily maintain or elevate their elite status, but it also opens the door for more casual travellers to enjoy a taste of the good life, too.

In Canada, both Aeroplan and WestJet co-branded credit cards offer this feature.

If you use a core Aeroplan co-branded credit card, such as the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, or the American Express Aeroplan Card, you’ll earn 1,000

Status Qualifying Miles and 1 Status Qualifying Segment per $10,000 spent on the card.

If you use a premium Aeroplan co-branded credit card, such as the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card, the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card, or the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card, you’ll earn 1,000 Status Qualifying Miles and 1 Status Qualifying Segment per $5,000 spent on the card.

Plus, you can earn Aeroplan 25K status without ever setting foot on a plane by earning 100,000 Aeroplan points over the course of a year with Everyday Status Qualification.

Since rent takes up a large portion of your budget, you can easily earn towards unlocking Aeroplan Elite Status while also racking up Aeroplan points to use for high-value flight redemptions, too.

Meanwhile, WestJet offers the Status Lift feature on the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, and it’s about to get better.

As of April 30, 2025, you’ll be able to earn status with WestJet through credit card spending alone, all the way up to top-tier Platinum status.

For every $5,000 spent on your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, you’ll earn $200 towards your tier qualifying spend.

While it’ll take a lot of credit card spending to reach the $10,000 tier qualifying spend threshold for WestJet’s top-tier Platinum status,

Plus, with both programs, the status qualifying activity you earn through your credit card pairs with any eligible paid flight activity you have each year.

If elite status is something that’s on your radar, be sure to consider the various credit card perks that are available to you, which help to streamline the process.
