🛫 American Express Marriott Bonvoy: 110,000 Welcome Bonus

If you’ve been on the fence about getting a hotel credit card, this is your sign. The \ is currently offering up to 110,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, the highest offer we’ve seen this year. And yes, it’s worth the hype.
Let’s break it down:
🚨 The Offer: Up to 110,000 Points
Here’s how the points stack up:
• 65000 points after spending $3000 in your first 3 months
• 30000 points if you spend $20000 in your first year
• 15000 points for making any purchase between month 15 and 17
Even if you don’t hit the full amount, 80000 points is still a major win. And let’s be real, $3000 in three months is manageable if you’re using Chexy for rent, bills, groceries, or even taxes.
💸 What Are 110,000 Marriott Points Worth
Marriott points are generally worth about 0.8 cent each, so 110000 points equals roughly $800 in travel credit. But that’s just the baseline.
If you’re smart about your redemptions like booking high-end properties during off-peak dates, or targeting cities where hotel prices are outrageous, you can easily get 1 to 1.2 cents per point in value. That turns your 110000 points into $1100 to $1200 worth of hotel stays.
You could get 2 to 3 nights at any of these, or stretch your points even further at mid-tier hotels with Marriott’s fifth night free on points bookings.
🛏 More Perks
Beyond the bonus, you also get:
• Annual free night award (worth up to 35000 points)
• Silver Elite status (late checkout and more)
• 15 elite night credits each year
• No blackout dates when redeeming
• No annual fee on extra cards
Spend $30000 a year and you’ll also get Gold Elite status with better upgrades and 2pm checkout.
🔁 So, Is It Worth It
Yes. This is the top hotel card offer in Canada right now. Even if you just hit the first tier, you’re ahead of most travel cards.
Whether it’s a luxury getaway or just saving on your next stay, this card gives you serious value.
🤑 American Express Aeroplan Reserve: 130,000 Welcome Bonus

American Express Aeroplan Reserve: 130,000 Welcome Bonus
If flying in style, skipping airport lines, and sipping drinks in a lounge before your flight sounds like your kind of travel, then this new offer from American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card is worth a serious look.
Right now, you can earn up to 130,000 Aeroplan points, one of the biggest bonuses we’ve seen in Canada this year 💥. Yes, the spending requirement is high, but if you travel even a few times a year (especially with Air Canada), the value stacks up fast.
How to get 130,000 points?
Here’s how the welcome bonus plays out:
60,000 points after spending $7,500 in the first 3 months
40,000 more once you reach $45,000 in total spend in the first year
30,000 more for making any purchase between months 15–17
Even if you don’t spend the full $45K, you can still walk away with 90,000 points, which is more than most cards offer even at their peak.
Plus, you can easily meet these milestones by charging all your everyday expenses to this credit card with Chexy.
What can you actually book with those points? 🧳
Here’s where things get exciting. Aeroplan points are super flexible, you can book with Air Canada or any of its Star Alliance partners. Some real redemption ideas:
Round-trip business class to Europe: $7,000+ value
One-way business class to Asia, with a free stopover
Multiple round-trip economy flights within North America
Everything Else 😎
Even if you never reach the full 130,000 points, this card has a ton of built-in perks that are perfect for regular travellers:
Lounge access to Maple Leaf Lounges and Priority Pass lounges
First checked bag free for you and up to 8 others on the same booking
Priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling
Annual companion pass when you spend $25K (your guest flies from $99)
3x points on Air Canada, 2x on dining, 1.25x everywhere else
And yes — it’s a metal card. Which is cool, let’s not lie.
Reaching the $45,000 spend doesn’t have to be a stretch… thanks to Chexy
Sure, $45K in a year sounds like a lot. But if you’re already covering big life expenses like rent, your car lease, insurance, and utilities you’re probably closer than you think.
Take this example:
Rent: $2,050
Car lease: $500
Insurance: $200
Utilities: $200
That’s a total of $2,950/month ,all everyday stuff you’re paying anyway.
If you use Chexy to put those payments on your Aeroplan Reserve Card, you’d be spending $35,400 a year right there. Add in groceries, dining, travel, or other purchases, and you’re very realistically crossing that $45,000 line, without changing much about your lifestyle.

One of the most powerful uses of Aeroplan points is to leverage what’s informally known as the “Asia-3” sweet spot, which refers to the third distance band on the “Between North America and Pacific zones” section of the Aeroplan Flight Reward Chart.
In short, the Asia-3 sweet spot is that Aeroplan lets you travel 7,501–11,000 miles to get from North America to Asia for 60,000 points in economy or 87,500 points in business class with partner airlines.
11,000 miles is a very generous allotment to get from North America to Asia, opening up the possibility to fly to Asia via Europe or the Middle East (or vice versa).
Plus, you can add a stopover along the way for an additional 5,000 points, allowing you to stretch the value of your points and your travel experience even further.
For example, you could fly from Toronto to Istanbul, stopover in Türkiye, and then continue onward to, say, Bangkok. If both flights are with Turkish Airlines, the total cost for this itinerary in business class is 92,500 Aeroplan points, which is an absolute steal!
Another example would be flying from Montreal to Frankfurt, enjoying a stopover, and then continuing on to Singapore. If both flights are with Lufthansa, you’d again be looking at 65,000 points in economy or 92,500 points in business class.
As always, the biggest constraint with leveraging this sweet spot is finding partner award availability.
Consider looking at flights out of US hubs if you can’t find award flights from Canadian airports, and become familiar with airline routings to envision what might work.
If you can piece something together, you could even enjoy breakfast in Asia, lunch in Europe, and dinner in North America on the same day on your way home!

Check out these awesome deals you definitely don't want to miss if you're thinking about travelling in the next few months!
