āœ… Chexy is Now Accepting Bill Pay

Itā€™s been a long time coming, but Chexy now supports Bill Pay! šŸ’°

When we first launched, we only accepted e-Transfers. Then came Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD). And now, with Bill Pay, any tenant in Canada can use Chexy to pay rent and bills with a credit cardā€”unlocking rewards.

This means more flexibility, more rewards, and a smarter way to handle your biggest expenses.

How to Set Up Bill Pay with Chexy

  1. Log In & Search for Your Landlord ā€“ Select Bill Pay as your payment method and start typing their name. Weā€™ll pull up matching payees, just like a banking app.

  2. Enter Your Account Number ā€“ Use the number provided by your landlord to link your payment.

  3. Pay Rent & Earn Rewards ā€“ Use your credit card to pay rent, earn points or cashback, and turn your largest expense into an opportunity.

And donā€™t forgetā€”refer friends to get $15 and give $15, plus unlock referral tiers to lower your Chexy fee and take home even more rewards. šŸ¤‘

Score Up to 25% Off Aeroplan Flightsā€”Hereā€™s How to Maximize This Deal āœˆļø

Air Canada is running a limited-time promotion that lets you book Aeroplan award flights for up to 25% fewer points. If youā€™ve been hoarding those Aeroplan points, nowā€™s your chance to stretch them further. But act fastā€”this deal expires February 23, 2025!

The Deal Breakdown

  • Get up to 25% off Aeroplan award flights.

  • Book by February 23, 2025 for travel between February 20 and September 30, 2025.

  • No promo code neededā€”the discount is applied automatically at checkout.

  • Valid on Air Canada-operated flights, including Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge.

  • Eligible routes: Within Canada, U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The Catchā€”Blackout Dates

Not all dates are fair game. Air Canada has set blackout periods for peak summer travel:

  • Within Canada, U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean: June 26 ā€“ September 7, 2025

  • Canada to Europe: June 19 ā€“ July 1, 2025
    Europe to Canada: August 1 ā€“ September 10, 2025

  • Canada to Asia-Pacific: June 20 ā€“ July 31, 2025
    Asia-Pacific to Canada: August 1 ā€“ September 10, 2025

Is This Actually a Good Deal? šŸ¤”

The thing with Aeroplanā€™s dynamic pricing is that thereā€™s no way to see exactly what kind of discount youā€™re gettingā€”you just have to trust that you are getting a good deal.

Letā€™s take a look at some examples:

  • Toronto (YYZ) to Tokyo (HND) in Business Class for 85,000 Aeroplan points (down from the usual 110,000+).

  • If a tropical getaway is more your speed, you can grab Montreal (YUL) to Aruba (AUA) for just 24,000 Aeroplan points in economy

  • And for a long-haul premium cabin steal, Vancouver (YVR) to Auckland (AKL) in Premium Economy is going for 67,000 Aeroplan points, a solid redemption compared to the usual 80,000+ range.

Personally, weā€™d say that if you can score at least 2.1 cents per point, itā€™s a solid redemption. If itā€™s under that, you might want to hold onto your points for a better deal.

Also, compare Air Canada flights against partner airline redemptionsā€”sometimes youā€™ll get better value booking with a Star Alliance partner instead.

Smart Redemptions You Should Consider

Here are some routes where you can squeeze the most out of this promotion:

  • Toronto (YYZ) āž Amsterdam (AMS) ā€“ 60,500 points roundtrip

  • Toronto (YYZ) āž Athen (ATH) ā€“ 51,400 points roundtrip

  • Toronto (YYZ) āž Seoul (ICN) ā€“ 52,600 points in Premium Economy (or upgrade to Business Class for 70,600 points + CA$77)

If you have eUpgrade credits, use them strategically to move up to business class for fewer points.

Note: using your eUpgrades will make it easier and cheaper for you upgrade to business class

Which Credit Card Should You Use? šŸ’³

To maximize savings, use an Aeroplan co-branded credit card when paying for taxes and fees. This ensures you get travel insurance coverage in case of flight delays or cancellations.

Best pick: TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card

  • Earn 10,000 Aeroplan points upon first purchase.

  • Earn 1.5x points on Air Canada purchases, gas, and groceries.

  • Get a free checked bag on Air Canada flights.

Final Thoughts šŸ’

If youā€™re planning to book an Aeroplan award flight in 2025, this promotion is worth consideringā€”especially if you can score 2.1+ cents per point in value.
