May Flying Blue Air France KLM Award Offers
With the start of a new month, there are new chances to save! Flying Blue, the frequent flyer program of KLM and Air France, introduces a fresh set of promotional reward flights monthly for its members and if you aren't a member yet, you should consider becoming one. These promotional rewards offer discounted award flights on select routes worldwide, providing very good deals! 🤑
This month is no exception. Flying Blue's May Promo Rewards offer a 25% discount when booking before the month ends, with travel available until September 30, 2024.

Here are some of the relevant Long-Haul Air France Promo Rewards:

Getting The Most Out Of Your Points
In our previous editions of the rundown, we've discussed how Flying Blue has streamlined its standard award pricing, meaning that regardless of where you are in North America, the minimum price remains consistent when flying to Europe. This is a good thing… at times. 😆
Here's a breakdown of the standard award pricing for those who are unaware:
Economy: Starts at 20,000 miles
Premium Economy: Starts at 30,000 miles
Business: Starts at 50,000 miles
If we refer back to the promo rewards charts above, we can see that long-haul Air France flights from Europe to Quebec city offer a really good deal for 15,000 miles, which is pretty good in our books for a transatlantic route! 👀
Earning Flying Blue Miles
You can earn Air France KLM Flying Blue miles by booking flight tickets with Air France, KLM, SkyTeam partners and using your credit card of course. You can also earn points through the Brim Flying Blue Air France Credit Card on all purchases, as well as transferring Amex points at a 1:0.75 ratio from American Express credit cards, if that interests you. Check out some of the best cards at the bottom of the newsletter!
Reminder: Before transferring your points at a potential loss, ensure you maximize their value by exploring alternatives with other airlines or loyalty partners, such as Aeroplan.
Happy planning!
Maximize Your Aeroplan Points with this 100% Points Buying Offer
If you’re looking to boost your Aeroplan points for travel, now might be the best time to top up on points with the latest Aeroplan Buy Points promotion. You can earn up to 100% Bonus Points from now until May 11, 2024. 📆
A Recurring Promotion
The previous promotion, which ended on April 5, 2024, provided up to 80% in bonus points. This new offer, although only lasting a couple of days now, offers cardholders an 85% to 100% bonus (some members may receive targeted offers so, log in and see if you have a better offer).
How the Offer Works
The offer operates on a tiered system based on the number of points purchased. The more points you buy, the higher the percentage of bonus points you receive!
3,000 to 20,000 points: 40% bonus
25,000 to 35,000 points: 60% bonus
40,000 points and above: 85% -100% bonus
Details to Consider
You can purchase or gift Aeroplan points ranging from the minimum qualifying points up to 500,000 points per transaction. The yearly limit is set at 1,000,000 Aeroplan points per calendar year.
Best Way to Purchase Points
When purchasing with a Canadian credit card, you will be charged GST/HST, which will reduce the overall value of the offer by a lot. Instead, consider using a US credit card, as mentioned in our previous blog where you can learn how to obtain a US credit card. Just ensure that the credit card is assigned with a US billing address for a tax-free experience. 💳
Now remember, just because there is a compelling deal, does not mean you need to buy into it! The decision to buy Aeroplan points should be based on your own travel preferences and needs, so make sure you have a plan in mind.
Important note: The purchase is facilitated through Points.com, an external site from Air Canada, and does not count as a qualifying purchase from Air Canada.
Aeroplan typically sells points at a 3.5 cent per point valuation (CAD). With a 100% point bonus, each point would cost approximately 1.75 cents (before taxes), which is very close to the standard 2.1 cents per Aeroplan point, from our valuation.
For example, if you purchase 40,000 Aeroplan points with a 100% bonus, you get a bonus of 40,000 bonus points, totalling 80,000 points for only $1,400! 😎
If you’re looking for flights or already have a trip in mind that you need extra points for, this might be your ticket to securing them.
