⭐️ Aeroplan 100% Points Buying Bonus Ends December 17th

🛫 Chexy Deals: Business Class to Europe + Asia from YYZ, YUL, & YVR

🚀 Introducing Fitzrovia x Chexy: Earn Aeroplan Points on Your Rent

Paying rent just got way more rewarding. We’ve partnered with Fitzrovia, one of Canada’s largest rental developers, to give residents in Toronto and Montreal the chance to earn Aeroplan points every month simply by paying rent through Chexy.

New and renewing tenants can earn points on lease sign-ups, ongoing rent, and renewals. Use an Aeroplan co-branded credit card, and you could earn up to 3 points per $1 at select properties. Depending on your unit type and community, you could rack up 150,000 to 250,000 Aeroplan points in your first year: enough for multiple business-class flights, hotel stays, or vacation packages.

This first-of-its-kind partnership makes rent more than just a monthly expense. It’s the best way to turn your everyday payments into real travel rewards.

To get started, visit chexy.co/fitzrovia and start earning points month after month.

✈️ Aeroplan’s 100% Bonus on Purchased Points

Aeroplan is running one of its bigger Buy & Gift Points promos right now, offering up to a 100% bonus until December 17, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PT. It’s a personalized offer, so your exact bonus might differ, but the top tier is big enough to make anyone pause and think, “Should I jump on this?” 🤔

Here’s the breakdown:

🚀 What You’re Actually Getting

Aeroplan sells points at 3.75 cents each, which is already higher than it used to be. With the current bonus structure, the more you buy, the better the multiplier: 55% for smaller buys, 75% for mid-level, and 100% if you go 80,000 points or higher. At the 100% tier, you’re effectively paying 1.88 cents per point, which on paper is lower than Aeroplan’s own 2.1 cent valuation. That sounds great, but the value really depends on how you redeem, not on the sticker price.

When This Deal Actually Makes Sense

This promo shines when you’re booking partner airlines, because those follow a fixed chart and often deliver far more value than what you’re paying to acquire the points. Think ANA, Lufthansa, Swiss, Turkish, Etihad — all the fun stuff ✨. For these flights, it’s very possible to get two, three, or even five times the value of your purchase. If you’re planning a big trip or doing something like a round-the-world redemption, this sale can be legitimately useful. 🤑

There’s also Aeroplan’s Family Sharing feature. If you’ve got multiple travellers in the household, being able to buy up to a million points per person per year is wild. Most programs would never let you acquire that many points, so if you need scale, Aeroplan makes it easy.

What Makes This Less Appealing

Dynamic pricing is the main drawback. If you mostly redeem on Air Canada flights, the “value gap” shrinks fast. When cash prices surge, points prices usually follow, so you can end up redeeming points for far less than what you paid to acquire them. It’s not fun to buy at 1.88 cents and redeem at 1.3 cents. That’s how you lose money without noticing.

Taxes are another problem. If your billing address is Canadian, GST or HST gets added, which pushes your real cost above the advertised rate. A US credit card with a US billing address avoids this and is the best way to buy. Also, since Points.com processes the purchase, you won’t earn any travel bonuses from your credit card, so there’s no multiplier magic happening here.

There’s always the long-term risk too. Loyalty programs adjust pricing, increase award costs, or raise the purchase price over time. Aeroplan already bumped its base rate once. Holding a giant balance “for later” isn’t a great strategy. 🧯

Who This Is Actually For

This promo is a fit for people who know exactly what they want to book and can hit a value higher than what they’re paying. If you’re topping up for a specific partner redemption with outsized value, go for it. If you travel often and your redemptions consistently beat 1.88 cents, buying strategically can save real money.

If you’re a casual traveller or someone who redeems domestically, you can skip this. No hesitation. There are easier ways to earn Aeroplan points without the risk or upfront cost.

Smarter Ways to Boost Your Aeroplan Balance

For most people, credit card welcome bonuses are the better move. TD, CIBC, and Amex all offer Aeroplan-earning cards, and Membership Rewards cards transfer 1:1. A single signup bonus can give you 50,000 to 120,000 points for a lower effective cost than buying points outright. It’s simpler, cheaper, and you get perks on top. 💳

Final Verdict

Buying Aeroplan points during this promo can absolutely make sense, but only for very specific scenarios. If you’re aiming for partner business class or first class awards, avoiding Canadian taxes with a US billing address, and already know your redemption, this can be a smart play. If not, it’s probably better to earn the slow way and keep your cash for the actual trip. ✈️

💳 ENDING SOON: Aeroplan’s New Black Friday Promotion Is Live. Earn 3,000 Aeroplan Points

Aeroplan has officially launched its annual offer, and this year’s offer is better than the others!

One of them is from ourselves! The promo lets members earn 1 Aeroplan Point per $1 CAD on eligible new Chexy payments set up during the offer window, up to 3,000 bonus points.

If you’re planning to knock out rent, utilities, tuition, or other end-of-year bills, this instantly turns those payments into a meaningful points boost. The promo runs from November 20 to December 1, 2025, and any qualifying payments that complete before December 31 count toward the bonus.

It’s an easy, practical way to stack a little extra Aeroplan value heading into the holiday season, and it’s especially useful for anyone who has big recurring expenses.

How the Black Friday Promo Works

For every dollar that successfully completes, you earn 1 Aeroplan Point, up to 3,000 points per user.

The only rule is that the payments must be newly added to your Chexy account, not ones you had already set up before the promo started. Both one-time payments and recurring payments qualify as long as they activate during the promotion and complete before the December 31 cutoff.

Aeroplan points earned from the Black Friday promo are deposited within 8 weeks after the promotion ends.

As long as your Aeroplan account is linked and your payments complete successfully, the points will land automatically.

How to Maximize

This is where things get interesting, especially if you’re new to Chexy or you still haven’t completed your first payment yet.

Chexy already offers its own new-user bonus of up to 5,000 Aeroplan points, and the Black Friday promo stacks right on top of it.

If you haven’t activated your first Chexy payment yet, you can combine both offers and effectively double-dip on the same expense.

Here’s how that plays out:

What you earn from Chexy’s regular offer

  • 1,000 points for creating your account, linking Aeroplan, and completing your first payment

  • 3,000 points after you process $3,000 in Chexy payments

  • 1,000 points more after 12 months of consecutive payments

What you earn from Aeroplan’s Black Friday promo

  • 1 point per $1 on new payments during the promo

  • Up to 3,000 total bonus points

What that means if you’re just getting started

If your first payment happens during the Black Friday window, you can stack:

  • 1,000 points for your first Chexy payment

  • 1 point per $1 from Aeroplan Black Friday

  • 3,000 points once you hit Chexy’s $3,000 milestone

  • 3,000 points from Aeroplan’s Black Friday cap

That puts you at up to 7,000 Aeroplan points from your early payments alone.

And because the Black Friday promo rewards $3,000 in payments with 3,000 points, you’re effectively earning 2 Aeroplan Points per $1 on that amount — one from Chexy’s main offer, one from Aeroplan’s Black Friday bonus.

For expenses you already have to pay, this is one of the strongest stacking opportunities of the year.

Check out these awesome deals you definitely don't want to miss if you're thinking about travelling in the next few months!
