Perks and Benefits
Once approved, you can create a virtual credit card and start using it right away. Plus, you'll receive access to a DragonPass membership and Boingo Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected up in the air. You'll also earn 60 XP in the first year, nudging you closer to that coveted Flying Blue Elite status. Plus, you'll enjoy 30 XP each year thereafter.
For those who aren’t familiar with XP and the Flying Blue status: Flying Blue, is the loyalty program of Air France-KLM, similar to Aeroplan and Air Canada. Air France-KLM rewards frequent flyers with Experience Points (XP) based on how much they travel. These XPs determine your membership status (Silver, Gold, Platinum) which unlock benefits like priority boarding and lounge access. You can see why this is great as you’ll be able to gain access to premium benefits from your regular travel.
Our Take
Now, you may be thinking about how you’re going to spend $15,000 in a year to get those 30,000 miles. But, if you're already paying rent, consider using this card to cover it. With the average monthly rent exceeding $2,100, charging your rent to this card for around 8 months could easily fulfill the requirement. Read below for more details.
With the current offer of 60,000 Miles and every mile being valued at 2 cents when redeemed for award flights (the best way to use your miles), you can potentially get a value of over $1,083 after accounting for the annual fee. So, if you’re someone who regularly flies with Air France or KLM, this card may be something to consider.
Overall, the card is excellent for those who want to dip their toes into a new loyalty program and even better for frequent travellers with Air France and KLM. If you’re considering applying for this card, be sure to do so here with your Flying Blue account by June 10th, 2024.
How to get those 60,000 Miles:
Sign up or log into your Chexy account.
Choose to pay rent via credit card and activate your account using this credit card.
Your card will be charged every month and we’ll send your landlord an e-transfer!
You can apply for the card here and get your first month of Chexy fees waived!
Important Note: Chexy is in no way partnered with nor affiliated with Air France KLM or Flying Blue in any capacity.

Why Should You Consider It?

It’s also more appealing for short-haul flights, where Avios redemption rates often offer very good value compared to cash prices, making them ideal for regional or domestic travel needs!
The value of Avios can vary depending on how they are used, ranging from 0.8 cents per Avios to a whopping 2 cents per Avios, when redeemed for Business class flights, which is considered the best way to use them! Typically, for regular flights, the value falls within the range of 1 to 1.5 cents per Avios, but smart travellers will try to squeeze as much out of these points as possible!
Earning and Redemptions
Avios can be earned and redeemed not only through flying but also through credit card spending, hotel stays, and car rentals, providing cardholders with multiple avenues to accumulate points. Overall, the combination of flexibility, value, and accessibility makes Avios a great choice for many travellers looking to maximize their rewards and enhance their travel experiences.
