Now, let’s say you're eyeing a luxe stay at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. A stunning night in an overwater villa typically costs around $1,838 USD, which is $2,518 CAD— a crazy amount to be paying for a 1-night stay

However, there's a much better alternative. You can book the same room on the same date for 196,000 points.

With the current promotion offering a 50% bonus, and given that Marriott points are priced at 0.83 cents (USD) each, or 1.14 cents (CAD) per point. You would only need to purchase 130,667 points, costing you about $1,485 CAD.

How It Works?

Is It Worth It?

As explained in the newsletters before, flights generally provide the best value for Aeroplan points. However, this car rental offer is a great alternative if you’re not eyeing a flight redemption or have any travel planned in the coming months. 

For example, if you’re planning a road trip or thinking of one, the value of your points might not be as high compared to redeeming for flights. However, getting up to 50,000 points back for a car rental is a great deal if you need a rental for your trip.
