Get Up to 30,000 Aeroplan Points Back on Hotels & Car Rentals 🏨
Using Aeroplan points for hotels and car rentals isn’t always the first choice since we always suggest using them on better seats when travelling. But every now and then, it can make sense! This is one of those times.
Right now, Aeroplan is offering up to 30,000 points back when you book hotels or car rentals using your points. If you’re planning a trip, this is an easy way to get more out of points and save big.
How It Works
The rebate is tiered based on how many points you redeem:
Use 40,000 – 99,999 points and get 10,000 points back
Use 100,000+ points and get 25,000 points back
If you have an Aeroplan credit card, you get an extra 5,000 points back
So, if you redeem 100,000 points or more and have an Aeroplan credit card, you’ll automatically get 30,000 points back. That’s a huge chunk of your points refunded for future travel.
To get in on this, you just need to register for the promo and book by April 13, 2025 and book by September 30, 2025.
Is This a Good Use of Aeroplan Points?
It depends. Normally, using Aeroplan points for flights, especially business class, gives you the best value. But this promo makes hotel and car rental redemptions a lot more attractive.
First, it stacks with the 4th-night free benefit if you have an Aeroplan co-branded credit card. That means even more savings if you’re booking a longer stay.
Let’s say you’re booking a 4-night hotel stay that costs 100,000 Aeroplan points. With this promo, you’d get 25,000 points back, plus another 5,000 points if you have an Aeroplan credit card. That alone is a solid deal, but with the 4th-night free perk, you’d actually only pay for 3 nights instead of 4, making it an even better redemption. 🤝
This also works for longer stays. If you book 8 nights, you’d get 2 nights free with the 4th-night free benefit, plus up to 30,000 points back!
Should You Use This Promo?
If you have an upcoming trip before September 30, 2025, this is absolutely worth checking out. If you can stack the points rebate and the 4th-night free you’re getting a deal that actually makes sense.
But if you’re hoarding points for a big premium flight redemption, it might make sense to hold onto them, unless you find a hotel deal where the math works in your favor.
Either way, this is one of the best Aeroplan hotel promos we’ve seen in a while, and if you’ve got points to burn, it’s a solid way to make them go further.
Qatar Airways Avios 50% Bonus – A Smart Play or a Waste of Cash? ✈️

Qatar Airways has rolled out a new promotion offering up to a 50% bonus when purchasing Avios. If you’re considering flying Qsuites, one of the most luxurious business class experiences out there, this could be an opportunity to book at a fraction of the cash price. But is it actually worth it? Let’s break it down. 🙌
The Deal: Up to 50% More Avios
This promotion runs until March 25, 2025, and the bonus is based on how many Avios you purchase:
Buy 3,000–16,000 Avios → 15% bonus
Buy 17,000–40,000 Avios → 25% bonus
Buy 42,000+ Avios → 50% bonus
At the highest tier, Avios cost 1.53 cents per point (USD), which isn’t the cheapest price we’ve seen, but it’s still close to break-even value. If you plan your redemptions strategically, thanks to us, this could work in your favor. ✅
When Does It Make Sense to Buy Avios?
If your goal is to fly Qsuites, buying Avios can be a huge cost saver. Qatar Airways’ business class regularly costs $5,000- $8,000 or more round-trip, but if you use Avios, you could book the same flight for around $1,200–$1,500 in purchased points, assuming you find award availability. 🤑
How Much Would a Qsuites Flight Cost? ✈️
For example, a one-way Qsuites flight from Montreal to Doha costs 70,000 Avios (lucky find).
With this promo, you’d only need to buy 46,667 Avios to get 70,000 total after the 50% bonus, costing $714 USD (~$1,035 CAD).
The exact same one-way Qsuites flight is selling for over $8,500 in cash, meaning you’d save nearly $7,500 by buying Avios instead of paying cash. That’s an insane value for a luxury experience—one of the best ways to maximize this promo.
How Many Avios Can You Buy?
Qatar Airways allows members to purchase up to 250,000 Avios per year, not including bonuses. With this promo, you could buy 375,000 Avios for $5,750 USD. That’s enough for multiple premium flights, but realistically, most people don’t need that many.
The best strategy is to buy just enough to book a high-value redemption, rather than stockpiling Avios without a plan.
Better Ways to Earn Avios
Before pulling the trigger on buying Avios, consider whether you could earn them more efficiently:
•Transfer from British Airways – Avios transfer 1:1 between British Airways and Qatar Airways. British Airways frequently offers transfer bonuses, meaning you could end up with more Avios by moving them instead of buying.
•Earn via Credit Cards – American Express Membership Rewards in both Canada and the U.S. transfer 1:1 to British Airways Avios, which you can then move to Qatar Airways.
•Wait for a Bigger Bonus – Qatar Airways has previously offered 60% bonuses on Avios purchases. If you’re not in a rush, a better deal might come later.
If you do end up wanting to buy, consider a no foreign transaction fee credit card can help minimize extra costs like these:
Final Verdict: Should You Buy?
If you have a specific redemption in mind, especially Qsuites, this promo can be a cost-effective way to book a premium experience. The savings compared to cash fares are significant, and if award space is available, this could be one of the best ways to fly in style without paying full price.
