Air France KLM Flying Blue: Promo Rewards for August 2024

Once again, Air France KLM Flying Blue is offering their monthly rotating Promo Rewards. This month, enjoy 25% off on short-haul and long-haul flights with Air France and KLM.

August 2024 Promo Rewards Overview

August’s Promo Rewards offer discounts on economy, premium economy, and business class flights to many destinations worldwide, including North America. If you’re planning to travel between now and the end of January 2025, this is likely the best time to save. With the recent adjustments to Flying Blue’s award pricing, it’s worth a look.

For those who prefer shorter journeys, there are 11 short-haul Promo Rewards available for travel within Europe.

Important Note: August 2024 Promo Rewards must be booked within August, though travel can be completed by January 31st, 2025.

Why Should You Consider this?

With the 25% discount on long-haul flights to Toronto, you can book an economy ticket that normally costs 20,000 miles for just 15,000 miles. If you have plans to visit Europe, this is a great opportunity to make the most of your miles and significantly reduce the cost of your travel.

Getting The Most Out Of Your Points

In our previous editions of the rundown, we've discussed how Flying Blue has streamlined its standard award pricing, meaning that regardless of where you are in North America, the minimum price remains consistent when flying to Europe. This is a good thing… at times.

Here’s a breakdown of the standard award pricing:

Economy

Starts at 20,000 Miles (15,000 Miles with a 25% Promo Reward

Premium Economy

Starts at 30,000 Miles (22,500 Miles with a 25% Promo Reward

Business

Starts at 50,000 Miles (35,500 Miles with a 25% Promo Reward

Obtaining Flying Blue Miles

The best way to get Flying Blue Mile outside of having a credit card that lets you do so is through your American Express credit card. American Express points can be transferred at a 1:0.75 ratio, great if you have points lying around and see a good deal with Flying Blue.

Happy planning!
